Herb and Carol Munson
Who am I? Well, I'm a husband, a dad, a grandpa, a guy who loves God’s Word, but most of all, I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I have been a pastor of four churches and led numerous bible studies over the years. I have two degrees ... a BS in Biblical Literature from Multnomah University (formerly known as Multnomah School of the Bible) in Portland, Oregon, and a BA in English Literature from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
I have also been a truck driver, a courier for a hospital, a manager of two real estate offices, a mortgage broker and a medical office manager. Right now, I am semi-retired and living in San Antonio, Texas, where I am working with my son, Dave, in his Saddleback Leather Company ... an Internet Sales business that he set up to support missions. He and his wife, Suzette, manufacture and sell the world's coolest handmade leather products including: luggage, briefcases, duffle bags, travel cases, backpacks, satchels, iPad sleeves, gadget pouches, wallets, belts, ladies hand bags and so on. Carol and I have five children: Jeanne, Patricia, Deborah, David and Jonathan. Jonathan is our youngest and served in the Marine Corps as a Marine Security Guard at the American Embassies in London, England, and also in Tunis, Tunisia. He graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, not too long ago. We also have fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Our oldest daughter, Jeanne, and her husband, Tim, live in Keller, Texas, near Fort Worth. They adopted a little girl from Russia named Maria, bringing their family to five children. Our daughter, Patricia, has four children and also lives in Keller. She and her husband, Dennis, own Chamberlain Shipping, LLC, a fulfillment shipping company that handles all of Saddleback Leather Company's quality control and shipping. Our third daughter, Debbie, is also in San Antonio and works for a very successful marketing and social media company. She has three children ... two of which are grown and the third is a junior in high school.
Carol and I are proud as punch of every one of our kids, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law and grandkids. And, for icing on the cake, our first great-grandchild, Avalyn Kay Franklin, was born September 8, 2010, to our grandson, Aiden, and his lovely wife, Cinnamon. Truly, our cups are running over.
Finally, God willing, my goal is to complete the writing of four commentaries … Genesis, Daniel, Matthew and Revelation … and make them available in a set. These books are uniquely linked together in presenting the whole picture of end time prophecy in the Bible. The Genesis commentary I call, First Work. Daniel is, Kingdom Work. Matthew is, King's Work and Revelation is titled, Strange Work.
